Free Shipping Tuesdays - Canada Post

The campaign

Free Shipping Tuesdays is a long-standing campaign for Canada Post. Each year they offer their customers free shipping on Tuesdays throughout October. I have worked on this campaign as the primary in-house writer for years. It is promoted through a dedicated website that has four versions (a pre-campaign, Tuesday, non-Tuesday and post-campaign page), direct mail, emails and advertisements. Each year the campaign undergoes significant changes that make the content work a new and exciting challenge.

The challenge

In 2023, the campaign’s changes were massive. We needed to convey 3 separate promotions, which were complicated to participate in, to our users on a single landing page without overwhelming them.

The solution

We pulled it off with concise writing paired with a sleek design that allowed users to absorb high level information about each promotion at a glance and then expand those text areas to gain more context if desired. The end result was simple at first glance, with serious depth upon inspection.
